The Feline Respiratory Pathogen Panel (6-Plex) qPCR Kit(FVPC602) is a lyophilized rapid PCR reagent designed for the molecular detection of six feline respiratory pathogens.
The panel targets:
Feline Herpesvirus
Feline Calicivirus
Feline Mycoplasma
Feline Chlamydia
Bordetella bronchiseptica
Feline Influenza
The kit is designed for testing of oral, nasal, and ocular swab samples using a fluorescence PCR instrument.

Feline Herpesvirus | Calicivirus | Mycoplasma | Chlamydia | Bordetella | Influenza
Respiratory disease in cats can involve multiple infectious agents with overlapping clinical signs. A multi-target molecular assay can provide a broader testing approach than testing for a single pathogen alone.
This panel combines six targets in one testing solution:
Target | Detection |
Feline Herpesvirus | Molecular detection |
Feline Calicivirus | Molecular detection |
Feline Mycoplasma | Molecular detection |
Feline Chlamydia | Molecular detection |
Bordetella bronchiseptica | Molecular detection |
Feline Influenza | Molecular detection |
This configuration makes the kit suitable for research laboratories, veterinary diagnostic research, and molecular testing workflows
.
Note: The product is intended for basic research and is not intended for human or animal treatment or clinical diagnosis, according to the product instructions.
The recommended sample type is a combined oral, nasal, and ocular mucosal swab sample.
The supplied instructions describe a direct sample-processing workflow:
Collect the oral, ocular, and nasal mucosal swab.
Place the swab head into the lysis solution.
Vortex for 30 seconds.
Transfer 20 μL of the processed sample into the reconstitution solution.
Vortex for 10 seconds.
Transfer 20 μL of the processed sample into the lyophilized PCR reagent.
Run the fluorescence PCR program.
The kit uses a lyophilized PCR reagent format.
Each kit contains:
10 lysis solution tubes
10 reconstitution solution tubes
10 lyophilized reagent bags
1 bag of 8-strip tube caps
Package Size: 10 tests/kit
The product instructions specify storage at 0–20°C with a 12-month shelf life.
The PC602 assay uses the following PCR program:
Step | Temperature | Time | Cycles |
1 | 55°C | 5 min | 1 |
2 | 95°C | 2 min | 1 |
3 | 95°C | 10 sec | 40 |
4 | 58°C | 15 sec | 40 |
Fluorescence is collected during amplification.

According to the product instructions:
Ct ≤ 36.0: Positive
Ct > 36.0: Negative
The fluorescence threshold should be adjusted based on the negative control and the best linearity of the amplification curves. A positive amplification curve should show a clear S-shaped curve above the threshold.
