The Feline Respiratory 5-Plex Pathogen qPCR Detection Kit (FVPC502) is a comprehensive, multiplex molecular panel designed for the direct and simultaneous detection of 5 major feline respiratory pathogens: Feline Herpesvirus-1 (FHV-1), Feline Calicivirus (FCV), Feline Mycoplasma, Chlamydia felis, and Bordetella bronchiseptica Featuring proprietary lyophilization technology, all reaction enzymes, primers, and probes are dried inside the tubes, supporting room temperature storage and transportation at 0–20°C for 12 months.

Comprehensive 5-in-1 Panel: Screens for viral, mycoplasmal, chlamydial, and bacterial respiratory pathogens in a single workflow.
Room Temperature Stability: Freeze-dried format allows storage at 0–20°C for up to 12 months.
10-Test Pack Size: Ideal for high-throughput screening and panel evaluation.
High Efficiency: Employs a rapid 2-step extraction protocol without column or magnetic bead purification.
Broad Sample Compatibility: Validated for oral, nasal, and conjunctival mucosal swabs.
Component | Quantity | Main Function |
Lysis Buffer | 10 Tubes | Rapid extraction lysis buffer |
Reconstitution Buffer | 10 Tubes | Sample template preparation buffer |
Lyophilized Reagents | 10 Pouches | Pre-mixed 5-plex PCR reaction master mix |
8-Strip Tube Caps | 1 Pouch | Optical qPCR tube sealing caps |
Sample Collection: Use a sterile flocked swab to collect ocular, nasal, or oral mucosal secretions from the feline subject.
Rapid Lysis: Snap off the swab head into a tube of Lysis Buffer. Vortex for 30 seconds, then flick or spin down liquid to the bottom.
Template Neutralization: Transfer 20 µL of the lysate into a tube of Reconstitution Buffer. Vortex for 10 seconds and flick liquid down. The resulting solution is used directly as the amplification template.
Reconstitution: Dispense 20 µL of the processed sample template into 1 tube of Lyophilized Reagent.
Mix & Cap: Cap tightly with an 8-Strip Cap, vortex for 10 seconds, and centrifuge briefly to clear bubbles and drop liquid to the bottom.
Loading: Load the strip into the fluorescent PCR instrument with the black dot facing left.
Execution: Select the pre-configured program: "FHV-1 / FCV / F.Mycoplasma / C.felis / B.bronchiseptica" and start running.
Stage | Temperature & Time | Cycles | Signal Acquisition |
Stage 1 | 55°C for 5 min | 1 | Off |
Stage 2 | 95°C for 2 min | 1 | Off |
Stage 3 | 95°C for 10 sec
58°C for 15 sec | 40 | Off

Adjust baseline and fluorescence thresholds. An optimal threshold line sits above the highest point of a normal negative control curve. A valid positive reaction exhibits a distinct S-shaped amplification curve.
Positive Result (+): Test sample Ct value ≤ 36.0.
Negative Result (-): Test sample Ct value > 36.0 or no Ct detected.
Research Use Only (RUO): Restricted to scientific research; not for human/animal clinical diagnosis.
Contamination Avoidance: Perform steps in designated clean rooms; avoid opening amplification tubes post-run.
Sanitation: Disinfect workstations with 10% bleach or 75% ethanol regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Can bacterial and viral targets be amplified at the same time in FVPC502?
A1: Yes. The enzymatic master mix in FVPC502 is specifically optimized to co-amplify bacterial, mycoplasmal, and viral genomic targets without cross-channel interference.
