The Feline Diarrhea Pathogen Panel (5-Plex) qPCR Kit (FVPC503) is a rapid molecular testing reagent designed for the detection of five feline diarrhea-associated pathogen nucleic acids from fecal or rectal swab samples.
The panel simultaneously targets Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV), Feline Coronavirus (FCoV), Feline Chaphamaparvovirus (FeChPV), Feline Bocavirus Type I (FBoV-1), and Feline Astrovirus (FeAstV).
Based on rapid PCR and real-time fluorescence detection technology, the kit provides a streamlined workflow for veterinary molecular research and feline infectious disease studies.
The lyophilized PCR reagent format simplifies reagent handling and storage, while the rapid sample preparation procedure reduces the need for conventional nucleic acid purification.
For Veterinary Research Use Only. Not for use in human or animal clinical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention.

5-Target Feline Diarrhea Pathogen Detection
PC503 is designed to detect five pathogen targets associated with feline diarrhea and enteric infectious disease research:
Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV)
Feline Coronavirus (FCoV)
Feline Chaphamaparvovirus (FeChPV)
Feline Bocavirus Type I (FBoV-1)
Feline Astrovirus (FeAstV)

This multi-target format allows researchers to evaluate several potential pathogen targets from a single feline fecal or rectal swab sample.
Rapid Real-Time Fluorescence PCR
The kit uses a rapid PCR workflow with fluorescence acquisition during amplification.
The complete PCR program includes:
55°C for 5 minutes
95°C for 2 minutes
40 cycles of:
95°C for 10 seconds
58°C for 15 seconds with fluorescence acquisition
The program parameters are taken directly from the supplied PC503 instructions.
Lyophilized PCR Reagent Format
The PCR reaction reagent is supplied in a lyophilized format, providing a convenient format for laboratory handling and storage.
The kit components include:
Lysis Buffer
Reconstitution Solution
Lyophilized PCR Reagent
8-Strip Tube Caps
The supplied specification is 5 tests per kit, with storage at 0–20°C and a 12-month shelf life.
Veterinary Molecular Research
The Feline Diarrhea Pathogen Panel (5-Plex) qPCR Kit is intended for molecular research involving feline enteric and diarrhea-associated pathogens.
Potential applications include:
Feline infectious disease research
Veterinary molecular biology research
Feline gastrointestinal pathogen studies
Veterinary laboratory method development
Companion animal pathogen research
Multi-pathogen screening research
Research Use Only (RUO).
This product is not intended for human or animal clinical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention.
Five Feline Diarrhea-Associated Pathogens
Target | Abbreviation |
Feline Panleukopenia Virus | FPV |
Feline Coronavirus | FCoV |
Feline Chaphamaparvovirus | FeChPV |
Feline Bocavirus Type I | FBoV-1 |
Feline Astrovirus | FeAstV |
Fecal / Rectal Swab Samples
The recommended sample is a rectal swab sample.
Sample preparation is designed as a rapid processing workflow:
Collect a feline rectal swab using a flocked swab.
Place the swab tip into the lysis buffer.
Vortex for 30 seconds.
Transfer 20 μL of processed sample into the reconstitution solution.
Vortex for 10 seconds.
Use the processed sample as the PCR template.
This procedure is based directly on the PC503 product instructions.
Step 1 – Sample Collection
Collect a feline rectal swab sample.
↓
Step 2 – Rapid Sample Processing
Place the swab into lysis buffer and vortex for 30 seconds.
↓
Step 3 – Reconstitution
Transfer 20 μL processed sample into the reconstitution solution.
↓
Step 4 – PCR Setup
Transfer 20 μL processed sample into the lyophilized PCR reagent.
↓
Step 5 – Real-Time Fluorescence PCR
Run the PC503 PCR program and collect fluorescence signals.
↓
Step 6 – Result Analysis
Analyze amplification curves and Ct values.。

Ct Value Analysis
Results are interpreted according to the real-time PCR amplification curves and Ct values.
Ct ≤ 36.0: Positive
Ct > 36.0: Negative
The threshold should be adjusted according to the amplification curve, negative control performance, and optimal linearity.
A clear S-shaped amplification curve above the threshold is expected for a positive reaction.
